BETA ALIA lands in Egelsbach – A special moment for the Volz team

Our customer BETA Technologies from the USA is on a Grand Tour in Europe to present the fully electric aircraft ALIA. The stopover at Frankfurt/Egelsbach Airport on July 18 was a special highlight for us at Volz Servos, because our actuators are flying in this aircraft: Volz is the supplier of high-precision servos for critical control functions such as elevator, aileron, and rudder flaps in the fly-by-wire system.

Colleagues of the Volz workforce gathered on site to experience the ALIA live in the air and on the ground. For many, it was the first time they had seen an electric aircraft of this class up close – and one whose control technology they themselves had helped to develop. This was a source of amazement, pride, and plenty of fresh motivation.

Due to the geographical distance to our subsidiary AEE Aircraft Electronic Engineering in Bavaria, which is significantly involved in the development, not all of altogether about 100 Volz and AEE employees were able to attend this great event with the ALIA. However, we are working intensively with BETA to ensure that electric aviation will become a reality in the near future and that all employees will soon have the opportunity to see their products in action.

BETA Technologies, long-standing Volz customer, is a pioneer in the development of zero-emission electric aircraft. The ALIA model is not a concept, but reality: it flies purely electrically – quietly, efficiently, and without CO₂ emissions during flight.

“As a SME supplier from Germany, we are proud to be part of the future of aviation – with roots in the Frankfurt region,” says Volz Managing Director Phillipp Volz.
